Jonna Abernathy

Jonna is the mother of two incredible adult children and “Gamma” to the most precious beautiful granddaughter in the world! Jonna has been a member of Central for 20+ years and has worked here for 8. Jonna grew up in Shawnee OK and went to college in Stillwater at Oklahoma State University. After graduating with a degree in Social Studies Education, she returned to Shawnee where she was employed at the public library for several years before moving to Fort Smith. Soon after moving here, Jonna began working at Psychology Services of Fort Smith doing psychological testing and as office manager. She “retired” from those jobs to take on the task of homeschooling her children for several years. When they were able to do their schoolwork without close supervision, Jonna returned to work at Central. Jonna enjoys reading, cooking, and watching sports, both on TV and in person (especially baseball and football). Her absolute favorite pastime is simply spending time with her kids and granddaughter!
